Bursaries
Means-tested bursaries are available at main points of entry, that is Year 7, 9 and 12.
Applicants for a bursary for are required to be registered by 30 September in the previous year in order to be considered.
A sibling discount of 10% is available.

Forces Discount
Luckley offers a further 10% discount for UK Armed Forces and HM Foreign Office parents providing proof of receipt of ‘Continuity of Education Allowance’ if not receiving further concessions.

Scholarships
We offer a number of scholarships for talented pupils. The scholarships examinations take place in the November prior to the year of entry.
Year 7 & 9 Scholarships
ACADEMIC
Luckley Academic scholarships for Year 7 and 9 entry are awarded based on the results of the entrance examination. Selected candidates are invited back to Luckley to give a presentation to the Headmistress and a panel of Sixth Form students on a topic of their choice.
MUSIC
A Music scholarship, based on performance and interview, is also available. The audition is an opportunity to showcase the candidate’s musical and technical abilities on either one or two instruments and complete appropriate aural tests.
Grade 3 standard on at least one instrument is expected from successful applicants, although at this stage musicality, potential and enthusiasm are considered to be as important as technical ability.
ART
An Art Scholarship will be made to a pupil showing enthusiasm, outstanding artistic ability and potential which can be developed throughout his or her school life. The Art Scholarship assessment will be carried out by the School’s Art Department and will consist of a portfolio, practical and interview.
DRAMA
A Drama scholarship may be awarded to a candidate who shows a genuine love and enthusiastic dedication to drama, with real potential to develop excellent performance skills, and a desire to communicate with others in creating a range of high quality performance work. The assessment takes the form of an audition and interview with the Director of Drama.
SPORTS
A Sports scholarship may be awarded to a pupil who shows high levels of enthusiasm and outstanding sporting ability and potential, which we can nurture and develop through his or her school life. The Sports Scholarship assessment will be carried out by the school’s PE department and will consist of practical activities and workshops, as well as a one-to-one discussion about the candidate’s sporting portfolio.
Year 12 Scholarships
Academic, Art, Sports, Music and Drama scholarships are available for Sixth Form entry. Examinations take place in the November prior to entry in the following September.
